About Us

Joy and Cheryl have considerable experience working with people of all ages in a range
of educational settings. Both are passionate about enabling people to fulfil their potential by sensitive, thorough and accurate identification of neuro-diversity and need, followed by the identification of appropriate strategies and tools to help minimise perceived weaknesses.

Joy and Cheryl are SpLD specialist teachers, each holding an approved qualification, as noted in the SpLD Working Group 2006/DfES Guidelines; Joy holds a Current Assessment Practising Certificate, issued by PATOSS (Professional Association for Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties).

The standardised tests that may be used during the assessments have been approved by SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) for use with students in Higher Education and are acceptable to support applications for Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

People with Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, AD(H)D etc) are unique – no two people will be effected in the same way.

Each report and the assessments used are tailored to meet the needs of the individual to ensure the report is ‘fit-for-purpose’, so the cost may vary depending on the range of assessments used and the length of the subsequent report.
